Generality-oriented mechanical engineer — my main research interests include mathematical modeling, optimization, and control theory, with particular reference to:

• process simulation
• topology and shape optimization
• automatic controls and robotics.

Applications

Following is a list of web applications based on some of my analytical and quasi-analytical solutions:

• optimization of melting processes that use focused moving heat sources Including several welding and Additive Manufacturing technologies.
• solidification-induced residual stresses associated with the Rosenthal solution. Steady state thermal field produced by a point heat source moving on the surface of a semi-infinite solid.
